Paul Murran is Managing Partner of Peter O’Connor & Son LLP, a long-established solicitors’ firm based in Waterford. He joined the firm in 2011 as a trainee solicitor and qualified as a solicitor in January 2014.
Paul grew up locally and attended Newtown School in Waterford before moving to Dublin, where he graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 with a BA International, specialising in Archaeology, Geography and French.
As Managing Partner, Paul is involved in the day-to-day running of the firm and works with clients across a range of legal matters. He is committed to providing clear, practical legal advice to individuals, families, businesses and organisations in Waterford and the wider south east.
In February 2025, Paul Murran was appointed Revenue Sheriff for Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny.
Outside his professional work, Paul is a member of the Irish National Lacrosse Team, both indoor and outdoor. He is also a keen golfer and a member of Waterford Castle Golf Club. In his free time, Paul practises yoga and meditation, while his favourite passion is cooking.
